Description: Convocation is a time for reflection on the labours of the past, the accomplishments of the present and possibilities of the future. Holy Family College of Nursing and Holy Family Hospital hosted the second annual convocation for its B.Sc. (H) Nursing (2012-2016) along with General Nursing and Midwifery (2014-2018), Medical Laboratory Technology (2015-2017) and X-Ray Technology (2015-2017) graduates on 23rd March, 2018, in the College Auditorium. A prayer service ushered in the day of the ceremony in the Hospital Chapel, thanking God for His numerous blessings and for making the graduates become what they are this day and asking His guidance further. Later in the day, the graduates gleamed with exuberance, adorned in their robes, as they anticipated being conferred upon with their degrees and diplomas. They were accompanied by their significant others, who had an aura of pride surrounding them. There was an amalgamation of emotions in the air, ranging from exhilaration and eagerness to jubilation and contentment. To commend them for their endeavours and embolden them, the program saw the presence of notable figures from various fields of education and healthcare. The eminent personalities were received with an invigorating welcome dance from the students of Holy Family College of Nursing, which made the affair celebratory. The ceremony commenced with the a floral welcome to Dr. Dinesh Arora IAS, Director (VAC/ Health), NITI Aayog, who was the Chief Guest for the event ; Shri. B.Raja Rajan, Joint Registrar (colleges), University of Delhi, the Guest of Honor for the program and Most Rev. Anil J.T. Cuoto , Archbishop of Delhi Diocese and President of New Delhi Holy Family Hospital Society, who presided over the ceremony. The event was set in course further by the conveying of annual report of Holy Family College of Nursing, by Prof. (Dr.) Raminder Kalra (Principal), highlighting the various accomplishments and functioning of the college. The recitation of the pledge followed thereafter, instilling a sense of accountability in all the graduates. The degrees of the B.Sc. (H) Nursing graduates were awarded by the Chief Guest, Dr. Dinesh Arora IAS, who delivered an inspirational address by encouraging the gathering to make a difference, wherever one goes and whichever task one is bestowed with. The stimulating trail was continued with the distribution of diplomas to the General Nursing and Midwifery, Medical Laboratory Technology and X-ray Technology graduates, by Shri B.Raja Rajan, the Guest of Honor for the function. In his peroration, he appreciated the role of Christianity in contributing to education and serving the society. Acknowledging the efforts invested by the students in academics, Archbishop Most Rev. Anil J.T. Cuoto presented them with trophies. The address from Archbishop Most Rev. Anil J.T. Cuoto, advocated the motto of Holy Family Hospital, emphasizing on compassionate care as he encouraged others to follow the example of our Lord Jesus Christ. All together the program was a grand success, adding to a line of accomplished events for the institution and paving a path for many more to come.
